Impeller structure of vertical pump? Working principle?

The impeller is composed of hub, blade and cover plate.

The cover plate of the impeller and the rear cover plate of the hydraulic pump are divided. The cover plate of the inlet side of the impeller is called the front cover plate, and the cover plate of the other side is called the rear cover plate.

The pump impeller can be divided into the following three forms.

Closed impeller: both sides of the hydraulic pump impeller have cover plates, and there are 4-6 blades between the cover plates. When the blade curve direction is opposite to the rotation direction of the hydraulic pump, it is called the back-bent blade.

In general, the blades of the impeller are all backward curved.

This kind of pump under the liquid closed impeller high efficiency, the use of the most, suitable for the extraction of solid particles and fiber free clean liquid.

There are two types of closed impeller under hydraulic pump: single and double suction.

Double suction impeller than single impeller flow.

Open impeller under hydraulic pump: there is no cover plate on both sides of the impeller, and the blades are connected together through the axle hole.

The impeller is simple in structure, easy to manufacture, but inefficient, and suitable for conveying liquid with more solid suspended material or fiber.

Semi-open impeller: this impeller has only a rear cover plate. It can pump liquids that are easy to deposit or contain solid suspended solids.

The impeller can be divided into radial flow, mixed flow and axial flow.

The radial flow pump is basically a centrifugal pump. The liquid enters the impeller along the axial direction and is thrown out along the radial direction.

The kinetic energy obtained by liquid mainly comes from the centrifugal force generated when the impeller rotates under liquid pump.

The liquid of the impeller in the mixed-flow pump enters the impeller along the axial direction, and flows out along the oblique direction between the axial direction and the radial direction, and generates the kinetic energy of the liquid by the mixing action of centrifugal force and axial thrust.

The impeller of a submerged axial-flow pump makes the liquid flow axially, and the energy obtained by the liquid is mainly driven by the impeller rotation.

The impeller can be made of cast iron, cast steel, stainless steel, fiberglass, plastic, etc.

The processing methods of the impeller of the hydraulic pump include sand casting, precision casting, welding, moulding, etc.
